Trail Experience:

🌅 Day 1 (14 KM): Embark on a 14-kilometer journey to the overnight Rhebok/Ribbok Hut. Begin your adventure with a steep ascent up Brandwag, passing by stunning sandstone cliff formations. Along the way, you’ll encounter rock pools perfect for a refreshing swim. While atop Brandwag, you’ll be offered stunning views over Glen Reenen and beyond. Follow the path through Boskloof, crossing streams and marvelling at the natural beauty that surrounds you. Be sure to start early, especially during summer when the heat can be intense, and afternoon electric storms are common.🌄💧

🌿 Day 2 (14 KM): The second day covers another 14 kilometers and presents a challenging hike of up to 8 hours. Rise early to tackle the Ribbokspruit and ascend to the highest point in the park,  Generaalskop, with steep sections that require careful packing and be presented with panoramic vistas over Lesotho. After the ascent, a picturesque kloof descent leads you to Glen Reenen, where hot showers await. Be prepared for varied terrain, including tricky waterfalls and steep ridges – but trust us, the views are worth it! 🏞️🌊

Wildlife:
🦌Keep an eye out for Eland and Black Wildebeest as you traverse the grassy slopes.

🏡 Rhebok/Ribbok Hut: Comfortable amenities and picturesque surroundings ensure a memorable stay.

There is no designated hiker accommodation at the trailhead. Consider booking a camping site or chalet at Glen Reenen Rest Camp, or explore nearby towns like Clarens or Harrismith for alternative arrangements.
